Methodology

There are two basic methodologies deployed:

Rational Unified Process (RUP) Methodology

Effective communications between the customer and development team drive a successful project. Communications are managed through a formalized common ground to helps both the customer and Locus Systems focus on the needs of the business. Locus has coupled our experienced project management skills with an adapted RUP (Rational Unified Process) to always paint a clear picture of the health of the project.

Locus Systems User-Centric (LSUC) Methodology

A phased approach is key to the Locus Systems User-Centric methodology.  Planning is directed toward ensuring that the new application is developed only after a proportional analysis of existing, planned and contingent functions is fulfilled. The proposed solution provides proven components and/or modules that can be rolled out according to the preliminary project plan schedule.

This LSUC Methodology has firmed up through the many years of successfully implemented Locus Systems projects.  This approach includes the following phases - with detailed tasks and deliverables generated for each phase serving as a basis for a detailed preliminary project plan.

  1. Project Initiation
  2. Propose Architecture and Estimation
  3. System Analysis
  4. Detail Analysis and Design
  5. Prototype Development
  6. System Development
